Great care should be taken when selecting a farrier as correct trimming and shoeing is vital to your horses welfare. Horse are prone to having dry brittle hooves and should be observed for bruised soles due to poor trimming or concussion from hard ground, thrush, sand/ grass cracks, splits and cracks. Hoof oils and moisutrises can help improve hoof quality.
